The short version

You get a personal license to use Ariv Studios products on your devices. Your data is yours. Desktop apps have a 30-day refund guarantee; mobile apps follow store policies.

1. Products covered

These terms apply to all Ariv Studios products:

  • Ariv - Personal knowledge management
  • Adoro - Focus timer (macOS, iOS, Android)
  • AuraFi - Soundscape player
  • Future products in the Ariv Studios ecosystem

2. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using any Ariv Studios product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

3. License grant

When you purchase or download our software, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Install and use the software on your personal devices
  • Use the software for personal or commercial work
  • Make backup copies for archival purposes

4. License scope

Free tier: Available features as described in each product. No payment required.

Pro/Premium: Unlocks additional features (sync, AI, integrations). Subscription-based for mobile apps; one-time or subscription for desktop.

Device limits: Desktop apps work on unlimited personal computers you own. Mobile apps follow Apple/Google account policies. Sharing licenses with others is not permitted unless explicitly supported.

5. Your data

  • Ownership: You retain full ownership of all content you create. We claim no rights to your data.
  • Local storage: All data is stored locally on your device. We don't upload or sync your content to our servers.
  • Portability: Your data is stored in standard formats (Markdown, JSON) that you can use with any tool.

6. Payment and refunds

Desktop apps: One-time or subscription payment via LemonSqueezy. 30-day money-back guarantee (email support@ariv.one).

Mobile apps: Processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Subject to Apple/Google refund policies.

7. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Share, sell, or distribute your license to others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Remove or modify any proprietary notices
  • Use the software to build a competing product

8. Third-party services

AI features: If you use AI features, you connect directly to a third-party provider (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic) using your own API key. Their terms apply.

Payment processing: Purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy (desktop) or Apple/Google (mobile). Their terms apply to payment transactions.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the software in the past 12 months.

11. Updates and support

  • Bug fixes and minor updates included
  • Major updates may require paid upgrade (desktop)
  • Mobile updates included with active subscription
  • Best-effort email support at support@ariv.one

12. Termination

By you: Stop using the software anytime. Uninstall and delete your data. Cancel subscriptions through your device settings.

By us: We may terminate your license if you violate these terms.

13. General

  • Governing law: State of Delaware, USA
  • Entire agreement: These terms plus our Privacy Policy
  • Changes: We may modify these terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
