Common questions

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are month-to-month or year-to-year and renew automatically. You can cancel from your account at any time and you'll keep access until the end of your billing period. After that, you stay on the free tier with the full local app.
What happens to my notes if I cancel?
Your notes are local-first and stay on your device regardless of subscription status. Cancelling just means we stop hosting your sync vault - the notes themselves never leave your machine.
How does the encryption work?
Sync is end-to-end encrypted with a key derived from your password. We never see your notes in plaintext - the server only stores encrypted blobs and metadata. If you forget your password, your recovery key (shown once at signup) is the only way back in.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions, no questions asked. See the refund policy for details.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards. Subscriptions are processed securely through our payment partner (Merchant of Record), who also handles VAT/sales tax in your region.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes. You can upgrade from Sync to Sync + AI at any time, or downgrade. We prorate the change so you only pay for what you use.
Why is the desktop app free?
Because it costs us nothing to give it to you. The app runs locally on your machine - we don't have to host anything to make it work. The paid tiers are real services (we run servers and pay AI providers on your behalf), so they cost real money. The free app stays free.
